November 16 -  Shortly before midnight Engine 49 was alerted for a transfer to Franklin County Company 5. The Engine ran a medical assist while on stand-by and cleared shortly after 4 am

November 18 - The Cumberland County Search & Rescue Team (Team 400) was alerted shortly after 4 am to assist with a search for a lost hunter in Menallen Twp. Adams County in the area of Big Flat. Around 10 am Company 49 was alerted for ATV response. Units from many Companies and agencies operated on this call until after 6 pm. , while crew were in the mountain units were alerted to South Newton Twp. in the area of 100 Firehouse Road for a trash fire next to a building. Engine 49 arrived to find a controlled burn and units were placed in service. \

For the month of May South Newton Fire Co. responded to 12 Fire / Accident calls and 1 Medical Assist

A crew of company members made the road trip today to Day Fleet in Monroeville, PA to pick up our 2 new trucks. They will both be headed to Statler Bros. truck bodies in Marion, Pa to have work done . Stay tuned for more info as it becomes available.
