Friday evening around 19:00 units were dispatched to I81 in the area of mile marker 33 north bound for an auto accident with unknown injuries. Just after responding county advised we may need to access Firehouse Rd. I arrived on the Interstate to find a tractor trailer in the median headed south with the tractor portion dangling over Firehouse Rd with the driver still inside. I advised Company 49 units as well as Squad 54 and Ambulance 47 to access via Firehouse Rd, all other units accessed the Interstate. Engine 49 arrived and was able to throw a 24' extension ladder to the cab of the tractor and assist the driver in getting out, he was not injured. The box was quickly reduced to Company 49 and Fire Police. Truck 53 was then requested non emergency to assist Johns Mobile in securing the tractor for removal. They arrived and were not able to get set up under the bridge so a bucket truck from Keystone signs responded to assist. All south bound traffic and 1 lane north bound was closed to remove the truck. Shortly after 23:00 the unit was removed and all lanes of the Interstate was opened. Thanks to all who assisted, special thanks to all the fire police involved.

Last evening units were alerted shortly after 6 pm for an auto accident with a vehicle overturned. Units arrived and found a passenger car overturned with the driver self extricated, negitive injury. Ambulance 73 handled the patient refusal and the Engine crew handled the hazards before going in service ba short time later.
Just after midnight the tones dropped for a transfer to Company 54. Engine 49 transfered while they operated on a building fire at the Cumberland Valley Business Park, Greene Twp, 11 box. A short time later Tanker 49 was alerted to the scene of the building fire. Engine 49 cleared around 5 am and Tanker 49 cleared about 6:30 am. Thanks to Engine 248 for covering the 49 house.
Yesterday Engine 49 was alerted to Southside Drive for structure damage. Upon our arrival Chief 50 instructed the crew from 49 to assist with removing snow from the roof in the gutter area, units cleared a short time later.
This afternoon Engine 49 was dispatched to the area of Oakville Rd and Red Shed Rd for an auto accident with entrapment. While responding county advised of the updated location in the area of the 600 blk of the Oakville Rd. Lt McCullough arrived first in and confirmed 1 entrapted and the road was blocked, that information was relayed to Chief 147. Engine 49 arrived and Chief 147 had the Engine handle the LZ. LZ 47 landed 2 Helicopters (Life Lion Carlisle and Life Lion University) and asisted in loading the patients into the helicopters. Chief 147 placed Company 49 in service after the helicopters were in the air.
Just after 3 PM the tones dropped for an auto accident, Interstate 81 Southbound in the area of mile marker 31.5 for a vehicle overturned. Units arrived on the scene to find a single vehicle accident over turned on the shoulder, all occupants were self extricated. The box was held to Engine 49 and EMS (73 & 84). Just before midnight Thursday units were dispatched for an auto accident, reported tractor trailer in a feild off the Interstate. Units arrived to find a Tractor Trailer off the road in a field. The driver was the only patient and he was transported to a local hospital. Units cleared the scene within an hour.
This morning around 10:30 units were dispatched for a house fire next to 113 Oak Flat Rd. Chief 147 arrived advising of a working fire. Engine 49 arrived and assited 47's crews with extinguishment and Tanker 49 supplied Engine 247. Tanker 49 dumped 2 loads of water before going in service 3 hours later. The home was a total loss.
Last evening around 21:30 Company 49 was dispatched for a chimney fire at 2 Gutshall Road in Southampton Twp. Engine 49 arrived to find fire in the wall and quickly advanced a line to the interior. Engine 53 crew arrived and assisted with roof operations as well as backing up Engine 49 crew inside. Crews from 52 and 54 arrived shortly after 53 and also assisted with opening the wall and checking for further extension. Units operated for just under an hour before being placed in service by Command 52 (Chief 152)
Tuesday morning December 29th Engine 49 was dispatched fo an accident involving e log truck rolled over. Engine 49 arrived and command had us hold our manpower. We staged for a few minutes before being released by command.
Today units were dispatched for an auto accident with a vehicle overturned. Chief 149 and Engine 49 arrived to find the northbound lanes blocked and a Strohman Bread truck overturned. Life Lion was requested to the scene for the driver of the bread truck. Photos from "The Elf" Denny Clopper.
Shortly after 11 pm on Tuesday evening units were dispatched for a tractor trailer fire in the area of 31.5 N/B in South Newton Township. Engine 252 arrived first in and did a quick knock of the fire. Engine & Tanker 49 assisted with manpower. All units cleared in just under an hour.
Yesterday Company 49 was dispatched for a brush fire Brush 49 arrived to find the fire in the edge of the mountain. Chief 52 arrived and requested an additional Brush which brought Brush 54 to the scene. Crews had the fire under control and extinguished in a few hours.

We checked for hazards and placed the box in service.
