Wendell E. Millhouse, 67, of 626 Walnut Bottom Road, Shippensburg, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009 in the Shippensburg Health Care Center.

Born July 15, 1942 in Orrstown, Franklin County; he was a son of the late Ross C. and Gail M. Gaston Millhouse.

Wendell was a member of the Upper Strasburg Church of God.  He retired from Dice’s Tire Service, Carlisle and was a volunteer with the South Newton Volunteer Fire Company and their Fire Police.

He is survived by his step father Ross Peterson of Upper Strasburg, one son Wendell E. Millhouse, Jr. and his wife Megan of Shippensburg, one daughter Tonya S. Millhouse of Shippensburg, one step brother Ross “Rocky” Peterson, Jr. of Upper Strasburg, and three grandchildren Heather, Noah, and Dylan Millhouse all of Shippensburg.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet M. Gordon Millhouse who died July 26, 2008.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg.  Officiating will be The Rev. Keith R. Bell.  Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.  A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home on Tuesday
